Welcome to Day 2 of the My Favorite Things Stamps November Release Countdown! At 9pm Eastern time tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 7), the November release will be live and all of the new products shown in the past few days will be available.
I chose Ski-son's Greetings to feature in today's post--I loved that out-of-control skier! (And I may or may not have been out of control skiing a time or two. . .a LONG time ago. . .)
Shown above are the Copic Sketch markers that I used to color the Ski-sons Greetings image. I used Copic colorless blender dripped onto a scrap of cotton sweater to create the sweater texture on the bear. (Be sure to color and texturize before you color the surrounding areas that you want to stay smooth.)
I wanted my skier to seem to be skiing out of the frame, so I created an inset and built some snowy hills using the Snow Drifts Die-namics. Next I popped my bear up with foam tape--easy! It occurred to me afterward that i would have been fun to build some movement into that scene with one of the action dies or with wobble springs. (So somebody try that, and then leave me a note to come see it, okay? :-})
In addition to the ones that I've shared here, there are several fabulous new products being showcased today; I hope you get a chance to visit the MFT Stamps Blog for a complete list of designers playing along with today's new products AND to enter for prizes! Remember that while all MFT products that I used are linked below, the NEW product links (marked with an asterisk) won't be live until Release time--that's late tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 7) at 9pm Eastern time. All other links should work now. Thank you for stopping by today,
